Obtener provides an on-demand delivery platform that facilitates same-day delivery of goods between customers and participating local retailers via independent delivery drivers. In the course of providing these services, we collect and process information that may identify individuals.

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you should not use the Platform.

Obtener Ltd collects various types of personal information to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and its services. The specific types of information we collect depend on how you use the Platform and which user role you occupy (customer, driver, or retailer). This may include:

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number, delivery address,

    payment method, and other contact details.

  • Profile data: Photos, preferences, and any other information you choose to provide in your profile.

  • Retailer-specific information: Store name, address, contact details, banking information, inventory-related data, and business registration details.

  • Driver-specific information: Driver licence number, vehicle details, insurance information, and other onboarding documents.

  • Support communications: When you contact us for assistance, we may collect your name, email, phone number, and any content of your message.

Information Automatically Collected

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers,

    language settings, and access times.

  • Location data: For drivers, we collect precise GPS-based location data during delivery. For customers, we may collect approximate delivery location and time- stamps.

  • Transaction and activity data: Order history, delivery logs, timestamps, and interaction history with the Platform.

Information from Third Parties

• Payment processors: Information related to successful or failed payments may be shared with us by Stripe or other authorised payment providers. 

 • Identity verification or fraud prevention providers: We may receive infor- mation to validate driver or retailer identities or ensure platform security.

• Retailers and Drivers: Retailers may share information about orders and fulfil- ment; drivers may provide delivery confirmations.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as health data, biomet- ric identifiers, racial or ethnic background, or government-issued identification numbers (except where necessary for driver or retailer onboarding). If we ever require such infor- mation, we will notify you and obtain your explicit consent where legally required.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and enhance the functionality and safety of the Platform. The purposes for which we use personal information include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing and managing services: To enable users to place, accept, fulfil, and track orders through the Platform.

  • With service providers: We engage third-party vendors and contractors to sup- port payment processing, identity verification, customer support, IT services, and analytics. These parties are bound by confidentiality obligations and only access data as required to perform their functions.

  • With authorities and legal entities: We may disclose data where required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, Obtener Ltd, or others.

  • In connection with business transfers: If Obtener Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, personal information may be trans- ferred as part of that transaction.
